Heiremans Marc was born in Elsene (B) in 1959. Being a collector since 1980, he opens in 1986 in Ghent (B) his gallery Novecento, which he transfers to Antwerp (B) in 1989. His thorough interest in renewing movements within the European twentieth century glass and ceramics production, leads, after years of intensive study, to a renowned personal archive. Especially his research on Italian Murano glass establishes his reputation of international expert. In this capacity he is not only instrumental in the developments of several important private collections in Europe and North America, but he was also invited in 1997 by the Corning Museum of Glass in New York (USA) as a guest speaker. In 2000 he relocates his gallery to the immediate vicinity of the Grand Sablon in Brussels (B). That same year he is admitted as member of the Royal Chamber of Antiquarians of Belgium, and the international art dealers organization CNOA.
